Here’s the latest from my corner of the world:
At the beginning of 2026, I took on the role of Translator Coordinator for SCBWI CA: San Francisco South and hit the ground running. Within a couple of months, we planned and organized a two‑day regional conference, bringing translators, writers, and illustrators together for craft, community, and celebration. What a rollercoaster ride!

Next up is a translation‑focused webinar this July.
Hosting a dedicated translator event was one of my main goals when I joined the Regional Team, and I’m thrilled to see it coming to life. There’s a real sense of forward motion in this role: watching ideas take shape, building community, and helping kidlit translators around the world gain the visibility they deserve—one step at a time.
